From the very beginning as a puppy, Tio had decided that there was only room for me in his life. However, since I didn’t initially plan to keep a male dog, I gave him away. He came back and stayed. And indeed, he became my dog. Always by my side and ready to respond to a glance from me. A dog like him, one probably doesn’t get to have very often in their life. Unproblematic in everyday life and very quick when working with livestock, like all my dogs. He always listens and tries to do everything right. Working with him is a lot of fun.
In 2013, I trialed him for the first time, and he stands in the WEWASC Merit List in the Started class at number 1 in all three types of animals. Good boy! In 2014, he was allowed to start in the open class and now stands in the WEWASC Merit List in the open class at number 1 in all three types of animals. That’s my boy! In the last trials of 2014, he competed in the advanced class and received his Working Trial Champion title with two starts per type of animal. What a boy!
2015 went very well for us in the trial season. Hardly ever a run under 100 points and many High in Trial placements. After qualifying for the ASCA Stockdog Finals 2015 in the USA last season but not being able to go, we plan to be there in Oregon before 2016.
The Nationals in Oregon went well; Tio won the High in Trial title of these Nationals with the victory in the Cattle class.
In the summer of 2015, Tio was awarded the WTCH-X (Working Trial Champion Excellent) title by the ASCA. He is only the third European dog to achieve this in the ASCA.
At the 2017 Finals in Bryan, Texas, Tio received the title of ASCA Duck Champion by winning this class. Aditionally he placed third in sheep. It went well for us.
